Where is Big Room located and where can I park?
The Big Room is attached to Silva restaurant located at 975 Ottawa Ave NW. The Big Room entrance is on Ottawa Ave, free street parking available on Northbound Ottawa Ave and metered parking available on Southbound Ottawa Ave. There is a free designated parking lot on Mason Street, as well as several other city lots, garages, and street parking in the north Monroe District.
What is your refund policy?
When purchasing tickets to a Big Room performance it’s important to note that there is a zero refund policy, however Ticket Protection is offered at checkout on the ticketing website to be reimbursed up to 100% to cover situations that could cause you to miss out on the event.
Do you have an ADA accessible entrance to the venue?
Absolutely. At check in for your event at the entrance on Ottawa Ave our box office attendant will direct you to our ADA accessible entrance via an elevator that takes you straight in to the venue.
What time can I arrive and how do I get tickets?
Tickets for all Big Room performances are available at www.thebigroomgr.com, you will receive an email confirmation with a scan code/virtual ticket and this will be scanned via your phone or printout when attending the performance day of. Each performance may have a different DOORS OPEN and START time for the event. Information will clearly be on the email confirmation/virtual ticket on what time the venue doors will open and the start time of the event.
Is the venue seated or standing?
All of our events have different seating and/or standing audience layouts per event, depending on the style of the act. When purchasing your ticket you will find information on whether it is a seated or standing show or both. Some events may have a “VIP” or “Lounge” seating area as an upgrade.
What does “GA” mean on my ticket?
General admission will mean open standing or seated show, if standing your GA ticket allows you access anywhere in the room that is not a reserved area. For GA seating you are able to sit in any open “non reserved” seat, the GA seating areas are first come, first served, if you have a larger group and want to sit together we recommend arriving early.
What is your Bag Policy?
Purses and small hand held bags are allowed. Backpacks and large bags are not permitted in the venue. All bags are subject to security search upon entering.
Is there an age requirement to attend a Big Room performance?
When purchasing tickets to a Big Room event any age restrictions will be listed on the website and the ticket purchasing page. Generally for most All Ages shows ages 5yrs old and up require a purchased ticket, under 5yrs old depending on the type of performance (ie concert, loud environment) proper ear protection is recommended, ages 2yrs and under is typically not reccomended for Big Room events.
Is there food and beverage available in the venue?
Yes! We have multiple bars with Beer, Wine, Cocktails and NA beverages as well as concessions with “elevated” snacks from Silva restaurant.
Can I bring outside food or drink?
Outside food and drink is not permitted in the venue. An empty water bottle (subject to search) is permitted for filling water at our water station.
Can I eat at Silva restaurant before or after?
Well of course! Silva restaurant is connected to the venue serving full meals Tue-Thur from 4-10pm, Fri and Sat 4-11pm, as well as Brunch Sat and Sun from 10a-2p.
Can I take photos and video?
Most events allow camera phones and video with no flash. Professional style camera/photos must be cleared with the venue. We recommend maybe a picture or two and then put that phone away and enjoy the show!
